FAQs

Sessions typically last between 60-90 minutes. That said they've occasionally been know to go on for as long as 4 hours! Equally when a profound breakthrough and insight has happened early on we suggested stopping after as little as 30 minutes and splitting the session into two smaller parts.

For us it's important to listen (in the broadest sense) to what is happening in the session and respond to the needs and flow of each and every student in the moment. This way we can support in the most effective way depending on what is call for.

Yes we do offer remote photo-Shaktipat sessions on request.

It's done remotely using a recent photograph and last 15 minutes. The time/date is arranged beforehand.

If you'd like to book a photo-shaktipat or have any questions about them don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

For some people one session will take you all the way to Self-Realisation/Unity Consciousness. This was the case for both of us, for others it can take many. Generally we've found that within a year of regularly receiving this Shaktipat most people will reach Self-Realisation, and many times it's much faster than that. Of course there are no guarantees and each person has their own timing...

In many wisdom traditions different ‘levels of consciousness’ and ‘stages of awakening’ have been well documented. Furthermore there’s an understanding that there’s more to go even after spiritual (non-dual) awakening becomes abiding, that there are unfolding stages of enlightenment. E.g. from Stream-enterer to Arhat (via Once-returner and Non-returner) in Theravada Buddhism, and from Cosmic Consciousness to Unity Consciousness (via God Consciousness) in the Vedic Tradition is to name just a couple.

We appreciate that ‘level of consciousness’ as a term can be misleading, as from the absolute view consciousness itself has no levels as such. But the relative unfoldment of understanding and conscious experiencing is evolutionary, comprehensible and in some ways, predictable.

We sometimes evaluate someone’s level of consciousness as a helpful means to see where someone is in their spiritual unfoldment.

We’ve found that receiving Shaktipat after going to abiding Unity Consciousness can be extremely helpful with the integration process, particularly if you're experiencing some roughness. If you're interested in receiving a post-UC Shaktipat get in touch.

It's worth mentioning that mentoring is in many ways more important post-UC than pre-UC. Acclimating to awakening can be challenging sometimes, especially when it happens rapidly, as it often does with this Shaktipat Awakening Transmission. Having someone to connect with who has experience of this process and can help you orient to it, is enormously helpful.

This Shaktipat Awakening Transmission is a universal energy of Divine Light and as such is without location. There’s been great success in receiving the benefits of a Shaktipat Awakening Transmission, whether it’s been in-person, through a Skype/video chat, or even remotely with a photograph. Distance is no barrier. We're generally located in the UK at the moment and so when arranging a session note that our time zone is GMT +00 (BST +01 in the summer).

Sit quietly, eyes closed, open & receptive and... relax, as if you were getting a massage or sunbathing on a beach. After the session/Shaktipat we recommend taking a little time to sit quietly or meditate.

The Shakitpat is a gentle but powerful transmission of spiritual energy that opens the crown chakra and dissolves the deep-seated I-thought. No ill effects have been reported. Some people will experience a coolness in their head, pressure or maybe even the presence of a white light, while others experience nothing during the transmission.

Everyone's experience is uniquely different, but as with any spiritual energy work there is a possibility of the releasing of old traumas and built up stresses which we have often been avoided or protected by the ego/mind. So after receiving a Shaktipat Awakening Transmission for some there may be a period of adjustment or 'purification' where it can be sometimes intense or even unpleasant. Of course, as with everything, “This too shall pass”.

However people with a history of severe mental illnesses, such as schizophrenia or bipolar are not recommended to receive a Shaktipat Awakening Transmission.
If you have any questions or concerns please email us to discuss them. Also please read our Disclaimer.

There's no judgement, it's just about coming to the Satsang and Shaktipat Awakening Transmission with a reasonably clear head. You know your own body/mind... use your discernment about what's right for you and talk to us if you have any question about it.

Having said that, we generally recommend that there be at least 10 days or so clear of cannabis use and other drugs. As for alcohol, well out of your system for the Shaktipat itself is a good idea.

The one thing that can be more of an issue is psychedelics. We'd say that a few months free of use is needed.

Money and spirituality has long been a testy subject, particularly in the west where we don't have the same social norm of supporting spiritual activities like they have in some other cultures. We see it as an energetic exchange that shows your serious intention/earnestness, and in return you're getting our time, energy and undivided attention – and of course there's the small fact that we have to pay the bills just like everyone else! Here's a great article on the subject by Eric Putkonen (Engaged Non-duality - charging money for spiritual teachings). Our feeling is that the cost/donation should be fairly comfortable to pay, but at the same time isn't just a throwaway amount. In the broader sense it's really a matter of what you value in life. If you don't want to pay then that's entirely your choice, there are many teachings out there, some for free, others not.

Yes, we do work together with students sometimes. More often than not we’ll each work one-on-one with a student but have the student meet with both of us. When our schedules allow we enjoy both being present when giving Shaktipat, so if you're interested in having both of us present during the Shaktipat just ask and we'll see what we can do (no promises here sorry it's just based on availability). We each have our own very different but complementary flavour of expression and style of pointing that supports the realisation and understanding of the awakened view. In many ways we are the masculine and feminine aspects balanced together and students have commented that they enjoy working with both of us because of this.

If you've got your heart set on having both of us present for a session, we ask that you pay for both of our time.

Yes we also offer a Shaktipat Awakening Transmission for groups of 5 or more. If you have a group that would be interested in hosting either one of us or both of us together, get in touch.

If you have any other questions that haven't been answered here, feel free to drop us a line via the contact form.
